Sep 2004: The 9/11 Queens Firefighters Memorial

St. Michael’s is a community, City and national resource. Fulfilling our mission St. Michael’s determined to honor New York’s Bravest’s by leading the creation, installation and dedication of The 9/11 Queens Firefighters Memorial.

Joining us on September 10th, 2004 at St. Michael’s to honor the 76 Queen’s Firefighters who sacrificed themselves at the World Trade Center on 9/11 were over 300 family members of those lost, several hundred of the Rank & File and numerous dignitaries and officials.

Memory Medallions, Inc. contributed $40,000 in medallions to the families to permanently memorialize their loved one. The family members were amazed at this innovative new form of memorialization resulting in St. Michael’s providing the option of Memory Medallions to all of our Clients.
